This comprehensive interactive multimedia program is intended for all personnel involved in improving workplace organization including managers, operators, assemblers, technicians, engineers, and trainers.


Objectives

Participants successfully completing the program will gain knowledge required to:

  • Describe the advantages of going Lean.
  • List and define the 8 kinds of waste, and recognize examples of each type.
  • Compare the attitudes and metrics of Lean with those of traditional organizations, and identify some of the obstacles to transformation.
  • Describe Lean as a total system.
  • Explain the role of cleaning in maintaining quality and throughput.
  • Recognize that the value stream must be mapped across this system.
  • Recognize the obstacles you must overcome to become a truly Lean organization.
